To call this an epic song would be a disservice. It’s more like a layered drama with a dozen interweaving story lines. The genre risks tediousness, but Dan Behar’s killer melodies and sweeping synthscapes spin these threads into gold. From Destroyer’s Bay Of Pigs EP out now on Merge.
I’m usually not a fan of Destroyer’s theatrics but this song kicks ass.
